Good kids starter MTB

"Overall great bike for the price for my son. Hopefully he will enjoy it for a few years. Shipped with a small chip in the paint on the lower frame. It is 26. 71 Lbs with the pedals and seat it came with. Other review said just over 24 Lbs. A little disappointed that there was no official weight listed. The brake and shift cables are too long, and need to be re-ran and trimmed. Pretty sloppy assembly. There's only 2 places to keep the cables down to the frame, so the cables are pretty loose. The rear brake lever is pushed out almost a half inch further away from the grip than the front brake lever, which makes it very difficult for my son to reach. These are definitely adult sized brake levers. . I will likely have to swap them out, as they do not appear to be adjustable."

Great bike, amazing value. Great geometry and lightweight!

"I believe this is the only magnesium framed kid's mountain bike on the market and that's what makes this one special. It's stiff while compliant and incredibly lightweight. Also comes with great specs out of the box if you are doing more mild trails. Starting bike weight was 24. 4lbs which is quite good and you can't find another bike in this price range that can beat that with the components this offers. I decided to build it up and it has come out better than what's offered at Trailcraft or Prevelo for the money. Bike is now sitting at 20. 12 lbs and my son flies and is able to keep up with me on the climbs. Unless you are doing park days, kids are better off on hard tails at this age and bike size."
