The Stage Elbow guard offers mid-range trail protection in a packable package. D3O® is used for impact protection. D3O® is soft and flexible to keep the guards comfortable while riding, but on impact, the D3O® material hardens to disperse the energy for protection. "I really like Cambria's responsivness and easy website. My beef is with defective Troy Lee Stage elbow guards. I'm a senior, intermediate mtn bike rider. Within 3 weeks 45% of the stitching on the grabber elastic ends unravelled rapidly. I was able to repair with my sewing machine. I like the fit and coverage. I suggest reinforcing seams before using."
