"These are 1.1 mm, versus 1.2 mm diameter for Shimano cables. Both seem to work fine with either shifter brand. Replacing cables on a schedule are cheap insurances to avoid having one break on a ride. Having a GOOD pair of cable cutters is a must have item IMO."
