"The SRAM chain is a high-quality product made in Portugal. I have been using this product for well over 10 years and the quality is excellent and consistent and an example of European or American manufacturing. SRAM should work towards having its other products produced in Portugal or the USA. Mostly SRAM drivetrain products are made in Taiwan, and such the quality is not as good."
"I really like this particular SRAM chain. As a former employee of a bike shop I own a number of on-road and off-road bikes- with Campy, Shimano and SRAM drivetrains. For me, the SRAM chains have been a great choice for all three drivetrains. They roll very smooth, appear to be durable and have given me a good service life. I believe this particular chain is a good value for the money."

"I have more experience with the 9-speed chains as I have only recently switched to 10-speed. I always had better luck with the 971 than with the 951. I bought the 1051 because it was a sale item. I have not installed it yet since I don’t ride as much since I retired and chains last me quite a bit longer than they used to. We’ll have to see how well it holds up in wintertime salt slush."
