"I was looking for a 3x8 shifter set for a flat bar conversion of an older road bike. Could not find any trigger types that would work with Shimano and no brifters that were compatible with the caliper brakes. These look nice and stylish on the bike and work well. No 5 stars, because they lack an extra click to adjust the middle chainring in the front, but should be 4.5 stars. I also like that they appear to be a little more narrow than other twist shifters."
