"I'm doing an upgrade on my 1996 Specialized Ground Control Variant. So gave these a try! I liked them very much but I decided to go with the independent brake and shifters by Shimano for just a little bit better fine tuning and comfort! But these are definitely a great deal for the price! And I would recommend these to anyone wanting to do a clean brake/shifter combo at a extremely insane great price!!!"
"After a little fiddling, these work great. But my front shifter came with a barrel adjuster that wasn't properly threaded in. Took a lot of force to get the screw to go in -- thought I was gonna break it, but I didn't, and now it's working with no problems. Not a huge deal and probably just a one-off defect, but worth noting."
