Never Going Back

"A much more suitable upgrade for my Kent Trouvaille's mechanical brakes. This is my first pair of hydraulics and I will NEVER settle for anything less. I never knew I could stop like this. These are definitely needed out on the trails if you have a budget bike with low end mechanical calipers. The power feels perfect to me on the green XC trails I'm riding. The levers are a bit long for my taste, but I can easily overlook that. Brakes came perfectly bled and felt great immediately. Keep in mind if you have a 180 caliper you'll need to get the appropriate adapter to size up to it."

Good entry level hydraulic brake

"Big upgrade from my stock no-name Schwinn cable disk brake. Had to cut the hose to make it fit however all the parts are included in the box, just had to get a cheap bleed kit and some oil. These are not to be used with metallic pads, however with 180mm rotors provide adequate stopping power even with resin pads. 160mm was too weak for this brake to work OK."

For a bidget-minded, all-purpose set

"For a bidget-minded, all-purpose set of hydraulic discs, you could do a lot worse. These offer predictable performance and durability at a price that most anyone can afford. No, they don't offer much in the way of adjustability and feel isn't as good as brakes that cost two or three times the price but not everyone cares about that. They are my go-tos whenever working on a budget build."

Cheap brakes that are easy

"Cheap brakes that are easy to install. On 160mm Rotors Easier to use than mechanical disc, but still requires a decently high effort on the levers for hard stops"
