My 2020 Marin San Quentin
"My 2020 Marin San Quentin 1 came with a square taper bottom bracket that was shot, so I installed the Shimano BB-MT501. It fit perfectly and was easy to install. Paired it up with some new Shimano Deore cranks and the results are awesome. Cambria Bike sent me the part quickly. Thanks!"
Good value basic bottom bracket but poor instructions
"This bottom bracket was reasonably easy to install with a Park Tool BBT-69 on a torque wrench. It was factory greased inside and out. Despite the warning printed on the parts to not disassemble, this bottom bracket is actually three pieces: one right cup, one left cup, and a plastic spacer tube in the middle. You will need to pull the pieces apart to install. Leave the tube inserted into one of the cups, it doesn't matter which one. The cups are printed with an R and an L indicating which side they are installed on. Package includes 4 spacers, 3 are 2. 5mm thick. For 73mm wide bottom bracket shells you will use one 2. 5mm spacer on the drive side. For 68mm wide shells you will use two 2. 5mm spacers on the drive side and one 2. 5mm spacer on the left side. There's another very thin spacer included, but it's not clear what purpose it serves."

- Hello, Will this BB fit a Poseidon X Gen 1 bike which currently has a square taper BB and crankset? Also, which crankset will fit my bike? Thank you
- Probably will fit ur bike. Not familiar with a Poisiden X. For cranks, not sure which cranks will work with a gravel bike. I assume u can use mtb cranks like Shimano XT or SLX. Basically, any crankset with 24mm spindle may work, just need to get the right spindle width.
