Thanks to a fundamental revision of the shifting mechanism, the Dual-Control brake/shift levers allow for even faster and smoother shifting and offer a significantly shorter lever throw. Compared to the predecessor model ST-5800, the lever throw is reduced by 24% when shifting up and by 8.6% when shifting down. In combination with BR-R7070 FlatMount brake calipers, Shimano offers you a braking system with a strong performance and comfortable modulation. Thus, you will also feel comfortable and safe on your road bike or cyclocross bike in adverse conditions.
