Pearl Izumi Pro Insulated Cycling Jacket - Screaming Red-Twilight

Imagine a cycling jacket that is soft, warm and manages moisture no matter what the conditions. Thanks to ultra-soft PolarTec Alpha Direct insulation and a highly breathable membrane to protect you from the elements, this jacket delivers, without the bulk. As a result, it’s warm enough that a base layer is all you need underneath to stay comfortable on all but the coldest days. It features two zippered front pockets as well as a rear zippered pocket for storage; the front pockets are lined with mesh, so when left unzipped they can help aid ventilation.
  • Ultra-soft PolarTec Alpha Direct insulating lining provides warmth and moisture management
  • Made from recycled polyester
  • Softshell exterior with membrane blocks wind without compromising breathability
  • PI Dry®® technology for permanent water-shedding performance
  • Two-way zipper allows ventilation from top or bottom

So, I’ve used this jacket

"So, I’ve used this jacket several times now. I’d say it performs as advertised. I’ve worn it down to 46 degrees, and only wore a couple of thin base layers under it. I’m anxious to try it in winter conditions with something warmer under it. This jacket is super soft and comfortable. My only complaint is that the lining in the sleeves gets caught and bunches up when you’re putting it on. Not a huge deal if you get ahold of the sleeves on your base layer as you put your arms into the sleeves. I like the color as well."

Think this is the best

"Think this is the best thermal jacket I brought for the cost and performance. Very warm riding in 45 F moring in San Jose, CA. Two of others of my cycling group got this jacket also, as it on sale."

Nice Jacket! Pocket layout isn't

"Nice Jacket! Pocket layout isn't my favorite but the alpha insulation is excellent and the shell is high quality and has a great comfy feel to it. True to size but more of a casual fit - definitely not a race fit."

"Definitely a cold weather jacket; it’s too much for cool temperatures. Wore it over a long sleeve jersey in 30 degree temps and unexpectedly encountered a rain/ snow mix and was warm and dry."

Great Jacket for winter cycling

"Tested it at 37 degrees and kept me warm during an early morning 47 miles ride. At 55 degrees I had to take it off. This is now my to go jacket for below 40 degrees rides."
