Great Hydration Pack - just a few things to be aware of
"First off, this is a really great pack. Especially if you can get it for the sale price given that it is an older color. Really comfortable - I used in on a 10-hour MTB epic ride and never felt like it was digging into me or bouncing around. The tightening straps work well and stay out of the way once you cinch them down, but they are a bit long, so skinnier rides might want to cut them once you figure out your fit since they do dangle in front of you a bit. Magnetic closure works really well and I never had it fall off while riding, but I was worried that it might happen, so I slipped the hose through the pull-string for the size zipper pocket in case the magnet released. Not an issue, but it does make that pocket a bit harder to access, would be nice if Osprey had some sort of extra lock in addition to the magnet for people riding on more bouncy terrain. Again, the magnet did not release for me, but I was concerned about it because you definitely don't want your hydration hose getting caught in your spokes. 7L capacity is great, I was able to carry the full 1.5L bladder, two 29" spare tubes, a basic tool kit, my car keys, 5 granola bars, 3 GUs, and 2 drink mixes. Could've fit a bit more if I wanted to, but it was getting pretty heavy with the water weight. All in all, a great hydration lumbar pack, but be aware that it is definitely on the bulkier side. I knew this and wanted it since I also have a Savu 2L pack for shorter rides, but if you not using it for all-day rides, you might want to opt for the smaller capacity."

Great, but takes some getting used to
"My 7 year old Camelbak MULE is my best friend, but when the trend starting going to smaller, minimalistic packs, I started thinking about a hip pack. 9 out of 10 of my rides are less than 2 hours anyway, so I noticed that I would never empty even half of the 3L bladder. But, I still wanted something with a bladder and looked into the Osprey, the Evoc, and a bunch of other popular packs. Most of the reviews for the Osprey were great, but the one downside of the bladder is the same thing that everyone else was complaining about - the magnetic tube holder isn't very strong and the tube falls off if the connection isn't solid. Also, it takes some of your attention off the trail to reach over and grab the tube, drink, and put it back. Another thing about the tube is the water doesn't flow through the bite valve as freely as the Camelbak. So, when you're huffing and puffing its hard to get a full gulp because of the energy it takes to suck the water out. Lastly, if you have a small rump and a wider midsection, it will take some getting used to. You'll have to synch the waste belt up higher than your muffin top, because if not, it will slip right off your hips and around your thighs. Believe me, I speak from experience :)"
