Good budget setup

"We have 3 of these drivetrains in the fleet now, no issues so far. Easy to setup and adjust. Not as snappy as a high end system, but shouldnt be expected for the price. My only complaint is that the thumb force required shifting into the lower gears seems high compared to other setups. Overall I recommend."

Q&A

Would this 9-speed rear derailleur be perfectly compatible when used with an 8-speed Shimano MTB shifter, an 8-speed Shimano MTB chain, and an 8-speed Shimano MTB cassette? I realize the limiting screws on this RD could be adjusted for a narrower 8-speed cassette, but I'm not sure if the spacing between the cogs on an 8-speed cassette would be compatible or not with the indexed movement of this 9-speed RD. Thank you.
Microshift is not compatible with Shimano or Sram shifters. Microshift must be used as a pure drive train with other Microshift components.
