Description

Leatt DBX 5.0 Flat Clipless MTB Shoes

Zoom zoom! Speed is at the heart of the DBX 5. performance shoe.

The DBX 5. is a clip shoe featuring a deep 25mm long cleat channel, offering stability as well as more adjustment options to get the perfect riding set up. It’s water resistant outer shell and great ventilation make it an ideal all round, multi discipline shoe for fast rides. The Speed lace and Cross Strap System help the shoe grip your foot and let you stay in control throughout your ride.

It features a medium stiff sole, thanks to a specially developed shank which regulates torsion and flexibility. This shank is the reason Leatt shoes give you great control on the bike, but lets you also walk around with ease.

What’s special about the Leatt shoe? Our secret rubber recipe is like your grandma’s hot sauce. Better than anyone else’s! The unique production method offers incredible RideGrip for ultimate bike control in all weather conditions. The sole also features mud channels, which efficiently keep the mud off the soles, so that you are in constant contact with your pedals or the ground.

Looking for one shoe that lets you train on your hardtail, race Enduro and get loose on the downhill track? Welcome to the family – this is your shoe!

Great Shoe

"Very next day took the to Swayback MTB trail (AL) and they were perfect, no issues at all. Good shoe for a GREAT price! Wil buy another pair!"

Good quality

"Fit well, comfortable."

Leatt DBX 5.0 Clipless MTB Shoe

"I normally don't ride clipped in and that's OK with these shoes as they will work as flat pedal shoes as well and have a grippy sole for flat pedals. But the option to clip in is a nice feature and the shoes are solidly built to protect your feet on or off the bike. They are a very comfortable riding shoe. They look great and give you confidence to ride a little harder."

Didn't work with TIME pedals

"Even with the shim, did not work with TIME MX 4 pedals - just could not clip in. Would have required more McGuyvering than we wanted to invest."

Nicole D. (4/5)

Don't work with crankbrothers pedals

"The cleat channel is too deep for crank brothers' mallets. Even with all the shims they provide it won't clip. Not bad shoes just don't buy them if you ride crankbrothers."

Fastening system needs improvement

"I really wanted to like these shoes, the reviews were promising, but none of them mentioned how difficult and cumbersome putting them on and taking them off really are. The lacing cinch and doongle on the end of it are almost impossible to stow out of the way in the little stuff sack on the top of the tongue. The velcro strap did not easily slide through the plastic loops and the end of the velcro would catch there, eventually it will tear and become a problem. Once on the shoes felt great, a perfect fit for my size, mens 10. Even though they were a good buy on sale I decided to return the shoes because the effort required to put them on and take off was more than I wanted to deal with, and would be even more ponderous, if not impossible when wearing gloves. Also, as mentioned in some reviews, the shoes are on the heavy side."

Q&A

What type of pedal will work with these shoes. I’ve never used clipless shoes or pedals so I also need pedals. Any suggestions thanks
TIME or SPD by Shimano it just depends on the cleat you buy to go in the bottom of the shoe.
