Initial Impressions: Good Lightweight Dropper, Terrible Remote

"Bought this dropper in hopes of a value purchase, as it came with a Southpaw remote. This is my first dropper post, and my bike (Kent Trouvaille), comes with a weird 30.4 seatpost, so I am using the 27.2 post with a shim. Just installed, and it works great. Glad it is lighter weight than their KS Eten i series. Yet, I had issues with the Southpaw lever and broke it. Thankfully, KS sent me a replacement for free after I spent about $6 shipping it to them, but here are my complaints about the lever system. 1. I can get a ZTTO lever off AliExpress for $10 that is better than the Southpaw remote design, which requires you to be more precise in installation as it uses the shift end of the cable. The ZTTO lever does not. It also did not snap on my install. 2. I received two different Southpaw remotes. The one that came with the post seems like it might have been made for a drop bar design, or whatever it was, the lever position was odd. The replacement from KS seems to be the proper MTB one, but either way, both levers are not worth the headache. I'd say, just buy this knowing you might need an new lever."

No clear instructions

"No instructions for this exact model. Checked website no help. Remote was poor quaintly, better off upgrading to a wolf tooth"
