"Very light weight compared to a U-lock. Much easier to carry. I wouldn't rely on this for long term security in high risk areas. I typically need to lock my bike for 5 or 10 minutes while out running errands during daytime in business areas. I absolutely want to lock my bike. But I don't need NYC level security."
