ION Rascal MTB Shoes

Based on the SupTraction Rubber Soul CL (CL stands for Clipless) with an EVA midsole, the Rascal does not only shine through the sheer power transmission to the pedal: along the longitudinal axis of the foot, it has the necessary stiffness to pedal powerfully and efficiently. On the other hand, its flex allows comfortable walking when the bike has to be pushed or carried.

The solid, pre-shaped heel cap in combination with the Serpen Tie Velcro fastener gives the Rascal an extraordinarily good heel hold, which is clearly noticeable both on and beside the pedal. A reinforced toe box - called Toetal Protection - protects the toes from getting caught on stones or roots. In the ankle area, the higher shaft together with the ankle pad protects and supports the area of the lower ankle joint without impairing the freedom of movement when pedaling or steering the bike over the pedals.

Perforated synthetic leather for improved ventilation and additional reinforcements on the exposed shoe straps round off the outer appearance of the Rascal. A two-component insole is used as the footbed, which both cushions the heel area when walking and supports the arch of the foot for less fatigue on long tours.
