Giro Syntax MIPS Road Helmet - 2020

The Syntax MIPS combines a touch of European flair with high-performance features, all this in a very slim design. The outer shell is moulded from a resistant polycarbonate and permanently fused to the EPS foam liner using our in-mold construction process. This increases durability and guarantees ventilation without excess volume. The fit is luxurious and secure thanks to our highly adjustable Roc Loc. 5 Air MIPS system, which allows you to adjust the fit to ensure high stability and comfort over the long term. Another MIPS integrated, which provides additional protection against rotational forces in the event of an oblique impact.

The MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) is a slip-plane system within the helmet designed to rotate inside the helmet with the intent to potentially slow or reduce the amount of energy transferred to or from the head possibly reducing head injury from rotational impacts.

Using a patented design that suspends the helmet just slightly off the top of the skull, Roc Loc® Air allows cool airflow to pass directly over your head, further enhancing the performance of vents and internal channeling that exhaust heat out of the helmet. Fit and feel adjustments mimic the Roc Loc® 5, allowing you to easily custom tune fit tension and fore-aft tilt of the helmet in seconds using a single hand.
