Rear view radar

"Works as expected. Maybe should have spent more to have video."

Don't leave home without it (anymore)

"I have only used this Garmin radar on a couple of rides for a total of 100 miles in a mix of city, suburban, and rural roads. The device is super accurate (even when I doubted it because I could not see the car behind me (too far). The app works fine but is kind of a "nothing" app. It just does one thing...display the bike and cars coming behind. But it would be great (and my suggestion for one major improvement) would be to integrate the radar display functions into Strava app for phone so I can see other information alongside the cars coming up. Having said that, now that I have tried it, I will not ride without it."

Don't want to ride without it now!

"This device paired easily with my Garmin Edge. And it alerts (beeping) me when a vehicle comes about 400' away from behind. The vehicle location is displayed on the right side of the Edge display panel as a dot. The dot moves from the bottom to the top as the vehicle gets nearer. Sometimes I can hear the car before it appears on the Edge. But, most of the time the Varia alerts me. I do have one complaint though. The devices is supposed to be mounted vertically and not too low on the seat post. Higher on the seat post is recommended. That is where I had my bike seat bag. Had to remove it to allow for the proper placement of the Varia. Still trying to figure out how and where I'm going to put a bike bag for the longer rides that I need to carry spare tires and such. Overall though, I feel safer on the road. Or maybe just secure in my ability to know if a vehicle is behind me now. Would recommend. Especially to people who use Garmin. It is supposed to pair with other devices/platforms (Wahoo, Smart Phone, etc) as well. But, I have not used it with those."
