Galfer Shark Disc Brake Rotor

The Shark Disc® is the new brake disc from the Galfer range that has been optimized for e-bikes. Laser cutting achieves the optimal design for the best possible performance. On the one hand, this increases the braking power and it can be braked with less effort even in tiring conditions. On the other hand, the design provides more braking stability even under the most unfavorable temperature conditions, which means that the braking performance remains the same even on steep descents, high-speed routes, high outside temperatures and high weight. Furthermore, the design of the Shark Disc® was adapted to the different disc diameters in order to achieve the same rigidity in cover to the diameter. A special feature are the internal shark fins (cooling fins), which give the brake disc its name. Combined with the many small holes in the disc, it can reduce heat generation, while the outer shaft design and side vents achieve strong and smooth braking performance. The brake discs are made of high-quality stainless steel with a high carbon content and are characterized by powerful, progressive braking performance and an effective anti-rust finish. They are low in vibration and deliver consistently high braking performance in both wet and dry conditions. Another feature of the Shark Disc® is the integrated magnet mount for speed sensors in the brake disc for e-bikes.
