Yesterday the spline bolt stripped

"Yesterday the spline bolt stripped out and the left crank fell off. According to Eastern Bike Warranty I'd have to ship the whole bike and pay the shipping to get it fixed. I ordered a replacement bolt. Hopefully it holds and the socket isn't damaged as well. My son saved his money to get this bike and is disheartened by the experience thus far. I know it's not the most expensive bike, but we thought that it would be better than Walmart."

Q&A

If a bike is shipped, is it shipped as is or will it need to be put together ? Bike would be the Eastern 26in Growler
Hello. Bikes are shipped professionally packed for safe transit and will require some final assembly once received. This typically includes installing the front wheel, handlebars, pedals, and seatpost, as well as checking all bolts for proper torque. Most customers find this straightforward with basic tools, but if preferred, any local bike shop can complete the assembly quickly.
