"I don't know why a water bottle needs to be so complicated. The cap is composed of way too many pieces. The complicated cap is supposed to provide an "easy squeeze and high flow" stream of water. Neither is true. All the additional pieces in the cap simply create more surfaces for bacteria to grow. The bottle is free of BPA, BPS and BPF, which is important. However, what is not disclosed (until you read the product literature that comes with the bottle) is that the bottle material contains an antibacterial additive (active ingredient is called hydroguard which is silver sodium hydrogen zirconium phosphate). I'll keep using my old bottle until I can find a better replacement."
