"I've used the original Avid BB7s for about 20 years. My only complaint was the painted finish could be damaged by heat, or strong brake cleaners. The SS version has hard anodized finish, and stainless steel hardware. The black knobs give it a more stealth appearance. I highly recommend SRAM metallic pads with these. Much less adjustment required, and longer wear."
