"For recreational XC riding and everything gravel and road, these are my favorites. Infinitely adjustable, easy to tweak on the fly, and have enough power. Pair with SD7 levers and and coil housing and you've got a great blend of power and mudlation."

"I have a fast 1500W Ebike. I use the BB7 brakes with SRAM metallic pads. They're quiet, last 5x as long, and require 5x less adjustment. I also use Shimano RT86 ICE Tech rotors. If you have a fast or heavy Ebike these are great too. On the BB7 you will have to trim the tab on the inner pad to use.. It's worth spending some time getting good cables and housings set up with no extra play. Once set up all adjustment is done at the caliper. I've been running these brakes for 20 years. They simply don't quit. With the right pads and rotors these are stillhigh performance brakes"

"I have these BB7 on my cargo bike. The bike came with Tektro and for years I dealt with these par brakes. The part that bugged me the most was how they are adjusted. BB7 are easy to adjust as they have a wheel on both sides to adjust pad reach. Making it very easy to adjust. I highly recomend BB7 for cargo bikes."

"The Yuba Mundo Cargo bike I ride was equipped with rim brakes, and while they were mostly adequate, the rim brakes didnt make the grade. (Think; mostly adequate=almost stopping) There are two things I would suggest you dont want to cheap-out on. 1 Your helmet, and 2 Your brakes. I have installed the front brake and am satisfied with its performance. The rear wheel will be upgraded soon. I could have spent less on another brand or model, but for the reviews I had read online the less expensive brakes arent as good as these. You get what you pay for and I feel much safer when I ride on the cargo bike sometimes carrying 300 pounds --or more-- that peace of mind about safety alone is worth every penny extra that I have spent. Lastly, do your homework before you pull the trigger and purchase. Bed the brakes in so you dont get loud noise from them etc. Your bikes manufacturer may have brand/model specific information that may prove helpful. There are a lot of videos on how to install and maintain your brakes. If you are unsure at all, consult with a local bike shop!"
