"Because I ride 10,000 or so miles per year in all kinds of weather, dumping $200 into a cassette of “higher quality” or lighter in weight isn’t something I care to do. MTB cassettes work as well or better, and this particular model will typically last a year before the smaller cogs wear past their functional range."
"Good range cassette to add to my new wheelset. The quality is there. Made well. No issues, straight and smooth. Easy to install."
"1000 times better than the cassette it replaces. Smooth shifts and looks great!"
"This cassette is heavier but a good value for the price. Shifts crisply with the XT chain and shows no wear yet (although I only have a handful of 10 mile rides on it so far). I like being mid- cassette through much of my rides thanks to the 50t low gear (nice straight chain angle)."
"Awesome! Perfect for my Kona unit."
"Wide range Deore cassette on sale, what more do you want…"
"This is a good quality Deore cassette, and not too heavy at 480g in the 11X42 configuration (claimed 467). You can spend about $95 for the XT equivalent vs. $60 here, and save about 50 grams, but is it worth it? Your call."
"The new Deore M5100 cassette and derailleur work amazingly well together! So nice to be able to upgrade an older 21-speed to a 1x system with 11t-51t massive gear spread. Thanks Shimano!"
"Great price for a great product"
