Not so good
"It’s good for the money but I had many problems. The left crank stripped the inside of the pedal. Came with very poor brakes that bled and gave out completely within only a week. They sent me a new pair and those had the same problem, not even a week and the brakes squeeze to the handlebar and apply no pressure. Also upon arrival the brake rotor on the front wheel came bent and had to replace it. Also the derailer is very poor and needs tuned every month if not replaced. On the good side the handlebars, wheels, tires, and frame are all amazing for the price. But the brakes, crank, and derailleur aren’t great."

The bike arrived in perfect
"The bike arrived in perfect condition and it was easy to assemble. Unfortunately, the brakes do not work which is why I’m giving 3/5 stars."

Shipping was fast. Bike is great.
"Got the Eastern Alpaka hardtail in size XL. Color blue. I used to ride and race mtb in the late 80s thru the 90s. I'm 66 years old now. Haven't had a bike with 29" wheels or new geometry before. So thought I'd upgrade. This bike is great. Only thing I'll be changing is the pedals and down the road I may put on an air fork. But the ones that come with the bike are adequate for most people that will be buying this price range. It's a very good feeling bike."

"Doesn’t shift right."

Great entry level bike. Brakes
"Great entry level bike. Brakes work great. Assembly was easy. The derailleur is the only weak spot."
— Grant S. (4/5)
Honestly it wasn’t a good
"Honestly it wasn’t a good experience, the brakes came bad, I had to pay for assembly and deinstall the brakes, they send me another pair of brakes and I have to pay again for install the brakes, they reimburse me money compensation for that, but even though the brakes collapse again and i had to pay again for new brakes and installation this time. Bike is good but this process just gets me frustrated"

Disappointing early failure — pedal stripped crank after 2nd ride
"Bought this MTB recently and was excited to break it in. On my second ride, literally cruising at baby speeds on flat pavement with my daughter, the pedal ripped all the threads out of the crank arm. No crashes, no hard riding — just casual pedaling. Turns out the crank is made of very soft aluminum that couldn’t handle even minimal use. I had the pleasure of walking the bike home. This might be a one-off defect, and to be fair, the rest of the bike seems decent so far. But honestly, this is a big red flag for durability and build quality right out of the gate. If you’re considering this bike, inspect the crank and pedals carefully or plan for an early upgrade."

Bleeding
"This bike would be good value if I didn’t have to invest time adjusting the derailer because a bike with less than ten miles on it is throwing the chain over the 9th gear into the spokes. Additionally the rear brakes didn’t work out of the box. information on a bleeding procedure is not provided with the bike. At this price point I expect to upgrade components, but not after 1 ride."

Several issues
"Bought 2 bikes, I came damaged. I reached out to counter service and got a quick response and they replaced the broken part. The other bike’s brakes failed after about a month of use. Again, they responded quickly and sent a replacement. I’m hoping the other bike’s brakes don’t fail also. Great customer service, however I didn’t buy brand new bikes to have all these issues. I would not recommend unless you want to have issues to fix."
