A Perfect Match

The SRAM PG850 cassette is a perfect match for this vintage bike's original Sachs New Success drivetrain. Combined with an SRAM PC-850 chain, shifting is quick and direct. Whether up-or downshifting, changes happen quickly, with a solid, satisfying "chunk" that's charactersitic of Sachs and Campagnolo groups of the time. The chain has been treated to Molten Speed Wax hot-dip wax lubricant, which is why it looks a little flaky in the photos.

The 13-28 cluster provides the lowest gear possible with this vintage short-cage derailleur, allowing the whole group to provide a better experience than many new drivetrains. Plus, the nickel finish is some serious bling on the bike!
