While the inner lining feels velvety soft when you put your shoes on, it shows its rough side should your heel slip out while riding thanks to the one-sided roughened structure of the material. Since the Rascal Select is made for downhill oriented riding ION placed the cleat further back compared to all-mountain oriented shoes. The cushioning EVA midsole absorbs impacts while the rubberized heel and reinforced toe cap absorb and dissipate forces when the foot hits a rock or roots, protecting both the shoe and its rider. The asymmetrically shaped shaft protects the foot on the crank side while still offering full freedom of movement. The robust PU main fabric ensures durability and a long lifetime of this premium shoe. Breathable mesh inserts on the forefoot area care for a pleasant climate inside.

SupTraction_Rubber Soul CL w/ reinforced shank We rely on the design and rubber blend of the sole. But we felt that the stiffness can be amped. That's why we reinforced the shank inside the sole to get a plus in stiffness and make for a proper sole of a high-end trail oriented bike shoe.
