Shimano succeeded in further improving the optimal interplay of stiffness, aerodynamics and low weight with the wheels of the 9200 Dura Ace generation. The individual components were carefully examined and clearly optimized at critical points. This means that you always have the best and fastest material on your bike.
The rims are made entirely of carbon. Not only does your heart delight when you look at the scales, when you accelerate quickly, you immediately convert your energy into propulsion. Nothing is given away. The new shape reduces air resistance and thus enables higher speeds with less effort.
To improve puncture protection, you can convert to tubeless tires and increase driving comfort due to the lower air pressures.
Shimano's own DIRECT ENGAGEMENT system impresses with the slim hubs. This significantly shortens idle travel and allows a very direct drive. The high storage quality and the perfect seal ensure smooth running and a long service life. They are also adjustable and easy to maintain if necessary.
The new freewheel body is made of aluminum and therefore also puts significantly less load on the scales without compromising stability or durability. However, it may only be equipped with the 12-speed Dura Ace cassettes.
Due to the height of the rim of 60 mm, this wheelset feels particularly comfortable in the fight against the clock, especially at high speeds.
