High Density – High Density guard is a unique puncture protection technology only available from Schwalbe. It has been jointly developed in co-operation with American firm Warwick Mills. Warwick is a specialised maker of high density fabrics and holds 14 internal patents for its weaving technology. No other bicycle tire protection belt is a density woven and this technology makes it possible to make a tire that is both light in weight and with an extraordinary high level of puncture resistance.
Puncture protection; Standard tires have an effective puncture protection belt made of natural rubber. The new, doubled and dense 50 EPI carcass has improved puncture protection.
Additional with SnakeSkin sidewall: The “SnakeSkin” protects tire shoulders and side walls against sharp rocks and glass. It is far lighter than a full rubber side wall, but nevertheless just as sturdy.
