The Mach 5.5 Carbon builds on the legacy of Pivot's renowned Mach 5.7 Carbon as the quintessential trail bike. With 140mm of dw-link rear travel, it sticks to and claws up just about anything, with tremendous pedaling efficiency for such an aggressive rig. On descents, the Mach 5.5 Carbon's incredible square edge bump performance and 160mm travel Fox 36 fork enable you to conquer terrain that makes other bikes cower. It's a bike that inspires you to climb while looking forward to the descents and that begs you to push your limits while putting a smile on your face.
Pivot applied their proprietary hollow-core internal molding technology to the Mach 5.5 and crafted a best-in-class frame for quality, strength, and weight. Then, they gave it a long and low geometry, putting the rider in a confident, stable stance. The bike’s short (430mm) chainstays and relatively steep seat angle help it rail the tightest corners and absolutely crush the steepest climbs, while the boost rear spacing adds stiffness and control on the descents. The Mach 5.5 Carbon can run any 27.5 tire combination from 2.1–2.6-inch, so your options are nearly unlimited. Additional frame details such as the Cable Port System, space for a large water bottle, and front derailleur compatibility prove that brawn and brains can certainly coexist.
