Kona Splice-E - 2018 Get there quickly, with a little help from the Splice-E. At the heart of the Splice-E is a Bosch Performance Line electric-assist motor with 500w battery and Intuvia display. A Shimano drivetrain and hydraulic disc brakes provide reliable performance both stopping and going, while the built-in Busch & Müller headlight and taillight system, fenders, and rear rack make the Splice-E a versatile everyday ride.
KONA 6061 ALUMINUM Kona 7005 and 6061 Aluminum alloys are used extensively throughout our fleet of mountain and asphalt bicycles. A tough, durable, light alloy, both Kona 7005 and 6061 deliver fantastic, reliable performance that lasts for thousands of rides. Much of our 7005/6061 tubing is butted and/or formed, meaning the tubing’s wall thickness can be increased or decreased, as well as shaped, so we can fine-tune a particular frame’s strength and ride characteristics depending on its intended application.
INTERNAL HEADSET Bearing cups are actually pressed into the frame and are easily removable. An internal headset also reduces stack height, so the height of the stem and bars are more adjustable, giving the rider the best fit possible.
E-BIKE Get a little further with every pedal stroke on Kona’s collection of electric-assist bikes. All of our e-bikes feature Bosch Performance Line motors, high capacity Bosch 500w Power Packs, and Abus Plus series battery locks. The Bosch system is known for its smooth power delivery, reliable performance, and excellent dealer support network. With on-the-fly adjustable pedal assist by way of an intuitive handlebar-mounted display, Kona e-bikes are easy to use and fun to ride. Take a load off!
