A long-time staple in Kona's Race Light platform, the 29-inch wheel Big Kahuna gets a seriously significant jump this year, moving up to a featherlight, wicked-quick Kona Carbon Race Light monocoque frameset.

The geometry is pure Kona XC—short chainstays for responsive handling, stiff design for effective power transfer, and progressive angles that perfectly balance ride comfort on everything from hard climbs to technical singletrack and all the long, hard miles of sweet singletrack in between.

With a component grouping designed specifically for the XC racer on a budget, the Big Kahuna is our most affordable carbon-fiber XC race bike.
