The huge 34mm internal width of the 938 wheelset gives you a massive contact point for ultimate traction. Compatible with tires up to 2.8” wide, these wheels are exceedingly versatile. Having the ability to run plus-sized tires with optimal pressure ranges lets you smooth out rock gardens and sketchy chutes with ease. These wheels are designed to open the whole mountain up to you, no matter what bike you’re on.
One of the largest assets of the 938 wheels is their excellent level of stiffness. Many 29” wheels are liable to feel wobbly, but these wheels utilize Ibis’s Boost hub technology to keep the terrain manageable. Wider hub bodies fused with asymmetrical aluminum rims give these wheels the same stiff feeling you’d get from a smaller diameter wheelset. All of this equates to a precise and fast rolling wheel that keeps you feeling confident on whatever trail you choose. These wheels make use of three-cross lacing with 32 double butted spokes to provide a stiff body and low rotating weight.
