While under normal circumstances it's soft and pliable as soon as it's impacted it stiffens to absorb and dissipate that impact energy. No more inflexible and bulky hardshell padding, instead RPT allows for a low-profile, flexible and lightweight design that still gives optimal protection and mobility.
